Participants share their insights.

In 2005, 22 former Circle participants gathered for the first Learning Laboratory of Engaging Impasse: Circles of Contemplation and Dialogue®

During the four-day process the Design Team shared what we have learned about creating the conditions that invite transformation of consciousness as one engages impasse through communal contemplation and dialogue or deepened conversations. Specific areas were explored and participants honed their skills and prepared various ways that they might integrate what they learned into their lives and ministries.

The energy and the enthusiasm were palpable. Everyone made a commitment to do something when they returned home. With the growing number of people who have made the Circles – more than 240 by 2008 – we feel we are creating the beginning of a critical mass who can begin to shift the way we engage impasse and re-imagine our work for transformation.

There is no doubt that we are at a stage of growth. So we'll keep you abreast as the future unfolds.
